Abstract
This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of employing (Al-Qaeda Nuraniyah)in developing the reading and oral expression among second-grade students in the Jericho and Jordan Valley governorate in the course book Arabic language. The study community consisted of all students of the primary second- grade in the schools affiliated with the Directorate of Education in Jericho, who are enrolled in the academic year (2020/2021) and their total number is (1179) male and female students. The study utilized purposive sample of (49) of female and male students from the school of The martyr Yasser Arafat for males, and the school of Aisha, the Mother of the Believers, for girls. Merely two classes were chosen from the male and female schools, and both classes were appointed to represent the experimental group, whom were both trained using the method of( Al-Qaeda Nuraniya). The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach for one group, and prepared three tools for the study, namely, a test to measure reading skill and a verbal assessment scale to measure the level of oral expression. Both of the tools were verified for their validity and reliability, and the researcher employed the interview tool with the teachers whom applied the ( Al-Qaeda Nuraniya). The Paired Samples T Test was used to find the differences between the test scores of the oral reading and oral expression skills of the second-grade students in Jericho governorate between the pre- and post-test. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≥ 0.05) in the scores of the oral reading and oral expression test for second-grade students in the Jericho governorate between the pre and posttest, The differences were in favor of the post test. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) in the reading skill test scores and the level of oral expression among female second-grade students in Jericho Governorate between the pre- and post-test, and the differences were in favor of the post-test students, and this indicates the effectiveness of employing Al-Qaeda Nuraniya in developing reading and oral expression skills among second-grade students in the Arabic language in schools affiliated with the Directorate of Education in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and that this effectiveness varies according to the method of teaching, and does not differ according to gender. The results of the interview showed the positive aspects in applying the Al-Qaeda Nuraniya in the primary grades. Based on the results, the researcher recommended employing Al-Qaeda Nuraniya method in teaching the Arabic language, training teachers to use it, and conducting new theoretical and applied studies and research on it.
