The various issues related to TVET resort to different disciplines which must be mobilized within the framework of this project. At university level, it will first involve instructors of the Education department and those of the departments of Sociology and Psychology, Business Management and Economics as well as instructors of the disciplinary faculties (engineering, medical sciences, agronomy, etc.) who all have well-grounded training experience in their field.
This Project aims to build capacity and enhance human skills of Palestinian academics, fresh graduates, and technicians to support the establishment and operations of smart cities in Palestine, and hence reduce unemployment. The Project will focus on three fields that are considered enablers for smart cities; IT Security, Telecoms and Computer Networks, and Smart Grid.
Water is the most valuable and rare resourcein the Middle East. The potential climate change impacts in the region require the new generation of water managers to learn and utilize new and innovative methods and techniques to achieve sustainability. In addition there is a significant gap between the learning skills of graduates from the HEIs and what the companies and enterprises want.
MS@CPS is a collaborative effort among EU and MENA countries for the establishment of an International Master of Computer Systems on Cyber Physical Systems. The envisioned master programme will focus on the contemporary recent technologies in the fields of Embedded Systems (ES) and Knowledge-based Systems (KBS) that provide the needed expertise for a CPS education and tremendous economic opportunities and furthermore span various important applications in our daily life such as: Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous cars, smart phones, embedded systems, big data, semantic computing, cloud computing, etc. The curriculum of MS@CPS program will be designed by analyzing the existing curricula in the area of embedded and knowledge-based systems, then a field study of market requirements and needs in the MENA region will be conducted. In parallel, the consortium members will review and examine pedagogical teaching and learning methods to fulfil the program objectives. Further, the curriculum of MS@CPS will be strongly aligned with the special requirements of the industry in the MENA countries in order to establish the skills of the students for strengthening the economy. In particular, MS@CPS will arrange several activities in cooperation with the industry partners to provide an open platform for students and industry, which will strengthen the students' skills and establish joint internships and master thesis. By providing solid skills in entrepreneurship and adopting proven mechanisms from program countries, the graduated students of MS@CPS will be able to establish their own start-ups. By enrolling in this program, the students will benefit from the multi-cultural experience and contact with different teaching styles responding to labour market needs, foster innovation and create top talents as the mobility readiness and complex system solution handling are highly valued skills for technology-driven companies.
This HEAL+ project aims to develop a curriculum for master program in Health informatics implemented in the MENA region in three partner countries during project period that will enable graduates employ information technology in the health care organization and towards fulfilling the medical market and health demands and challenges.
Enterprise Systems Engineering (ESE) is a multidisciplinary approach combining systems engineering and strategic management to address methods and approaches for aligning system architectures with enterprise business rules and the underlying IT architecture; development and implementation consistent with enterprise strategic objectives; and the total enterprise system and capabilities, with diverse complex subsystems. This course uses the systems engineering life cycle as a framework for linking outcome-based engineering analysis and decision making with enterprise strategic objectives, addressing methods and tools for managing complexity, determining measures of effectiveness, and assessing return on investment from an engineering perspective.
FORC (Pathway in Forensic Computing) is a project funded by the European Commission under the ERASMUS+ programme. The project, lead by University of Cagliari - PRA Lab, involves 8 partners from Europe (UK, Ireland), Palestine and Jordan, aims to improve the level of competences and skills of the partner universities in Palestine and Jordan by enabling them to develop sustainable integrated curricula in Forensic Computing, across the domains of Law and technology.

The objective of the present study is to: (1) determine the association of chronotype and chrono-disruption against diverse health factors for the Palestinian and German population, (2) investigate chronotype as a potential mediator of response to antidepressants in our future studies on clinical depression, and (3) examine a potential dependence of chronotype to geographic and cultural factors.

The ultimate scientific goal is to establish a direct verification of T-symmetry breaking – up to now TRI-violation has only been achieved indirectly (via electroweak CP-violation, assuming the CPT theorem). The motivation is the need for new additional T/CP-violation to explain the matter-antimatter asymmetry of our universe – the puzzle of our existence.
Lithium ion batteries with typical liquid electrolytes, suffer from safety issues caused by the flammable liquid. All-solid-state batteries with a thin incombustible inorganic solid electrolyte represent an alternative technology providing higher safety. However, typical storage materials undergo a volume change and normally sintered composite cathodes do not provide enough strain tolerance to allow this expansion without inducing large stresses causing failure of the cell.

The biophysics lab has been established at Al-Quds University in 2005 with a generous fund from the DFG of the Federal Republic of Germany. The lab has supported several research students in the fields of physics and biology; several of whom are currently finishing their Doctorates degrees in Germany and the U.S. The research lab provides services to students and faculty members in the physics, biology, chemistry, and environmental science programs, in addition to an open cooperation with the college of medicine, pharmacy and the Nanotechnology center.
