| dc.description.abstract | The study aims at investigating the role of entrepreneurial women projects in empowering Palestinian women economically. The study is operated within the exploratory approach as well as the descriptive one. Population of the study consists of all entrepreneurial women who own private businesses registered in the chambers of Ramallah, al-Bireh and Bethlehem Governorates. Data of the study is collected by a questionnaire distributed systematically to a sample of 60 entrepreneurial women and was statistically processed using the SPSS program . Findings of the study disclose that entrepreneurial women projects, to a large degree, play a role in empowering women economically in Palestine. They contribute to achieving financial independence; creating job opportunities, improving job prospects, income and wealth for women. The results also reveal that this type of projects promote women's financial self-independence that women feel productive rather than consuming and create new employment opportunities for other women. The findings also reveal that most women prefer having their own businesses to being just employees. Entrepreneurial women projects further plays important role in increasing women's current investments and encourage women to establish their own future plans and start thinking of purchasing real estates. Moreover, the findings disclose that Entrepreneurial women projects face a medium degree of hindrances. These represented in getting financial funding particularly at the early stages of establishing their own businesses. Other difficulties represented in the Israeli occupation and lack of marketing experience which all impair women's capability to develop their own projects . In light of these findings, the study recommends in encouraging investments through providing more facilities and incitements like exemption from taxes. The study also recommends removing the hindrances that prevent entrepreneurial women of getting financial fund and providing them of the necessary training that focuses on technical skills and marketing ways which enable them to manage their own projects efficiently. | ar |
