| dc.description.abstract | The study at shedding light on the Russian position from the Arab revolutions that started in the late of 2010. In addition, it also aims at knowing the delimiters and motivations that governed the Russian position regarding the changes on the Arab area. The significance of the study lies in clarifying and specifying the Russian position from the Arab revolution since the Russian Federation has been one of the main states in the international system Recognizing the Russian position from the Arab revolutions help understanding the Russian trends towards the Arab world and during the stage of changes. The problem of the study is represented through finding an answer to the following main question: what is the reality of the Russian position regarding the Arab revolutions? The study starts with several hypothesis which state the hesitant and reluctant Russian position which is attributed to the unclear vision of the decision makers in the Russian foreign policy towards the Arab region, and the size of Russian interests in the Arab region is the point the specifies the Russian position regarding the changes that occur in the Arab region. The study depended on the descriptive methodology through specifying the outlines of the Russian foreign policy towards the Arab region and its position from the changes that occur in the Arab region represented in the Arab spring. The study tackled the reality and the most important stages of Arab – Russian relation. In addition to the Russian strategy, trends, and characteristics towards the Arab region. The study has also reviewed the Russian positions regarding the Arab spring revolutions. The study concluded a number of results, and the most important of which states that, the Arab – Russian relations have undergone several stages, since the relation was changeable based on what s forced by the nature of the current political situation for both sides, and the Russian policies towards the Arab region were governed by a set of motivations, pragmatic purposes, and interests to which Russian sought to achieve through its foreign policy | en |
