Abstract
This study aimed to identify the availability of the fundamentals of the application of financial engineering tools in Islamic banks "An applied study: Islamic banks operating in Palestine", and the researcher used the descriptive analytical method, relying on the questionnaire as a tool to collect data, so the researcher distributed (61) questionnaires and after completion From the process of data collection and retrieval of distributed questionnaires (48) questionnaires valid for analysis were recovered. The study concluded a number of results, the most important of which are: It is clear that Islamic banks operating in Palestine are keen to provide the administrative requirements necessary for the application of financial engineering tools in terms of the availability of a sound management system. It was also found that Islamic banks operating in Palestine provide an effective accounting information system capable of applying financial engineering tools. Islamic banks in Palestine provide a clear guide to the policies and objectives for implementing financial engineering tools. It also turned out that Islamic banks in Palestine have the tools and modern software necessary to financial engineering tools. It was also clear that the Islamic Banking Management in Palestine seeks to apply financial engineering tools to meet customer needs, and is aware of the importance of applying these tools in developing banking business. The study recommended: The necessity of having an administrative reference with a dimension and familiarity with financial and Islamic principles of Islamic financial dealings in order to be prepared in areas of developing financial engineering tools in the field of Islamic banking industry, which would increase the efficiency and effectiveness of financial tools developed in this regard. It also recommended working on a specialized committee in Islamic banks whose primary task is to follow up on the design and development of financial products based on market needs. And holding conferences and symposia that show the importance of Islamic financial engineering and its necessity for Islamic banks and financial institutions, the mechanisms for their application and laying the necessary foundations for that and the controls for their issuance and their legal limits.
