Abstract
The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of advanced organizers for improving the achievement of the lingustic sciences and developing the creative abilities among ninth-graders in Hebron Education Directorate. Does this effectiveness differ with different teaching method, gender, and the interaction between the gender and the teaching method? To achieve the aim of this study, the researcher adopted the experimental approach with two experimental groups and two control groups design since it is suitable for the study subject. The population of the study includes all the basic ninth-graders in the state schools related to the Directorate of Education in Hebron for the academic year (2018-2019). Their number is (5392) male and female students. The study sample includes (136) ninth-graders distributed into two experimental groups with (71) students distributed into males and females (33-38), respectively and a control group with (65) students distributed into males and females (30-35), respectively. An achievement test of the lingustic sciences, and a test of the creative abilities were used to represent the study instruments. The researcher used the statistical package for social science (SPSS) to get the study outcomes. The results indicated that advanced organizers affected the students' achievement and developed their creative abilities as well as they are not affected due to the students' gender. The results also indicated that there is an impact due to the interaction between gender and the teaching method. The study recommended the necessity of the advanced organizers' inclusion within the Arabic language curricula for the basic stages since it makes teaching meaningful and motivates the teachers to use the advanced organizers in teaching the philological sciences and the Arabic language skills generally.
