Abstract
The study aims at manifesting the effect of administrative decentralization exemplified in its dimensions (delegation, participation, communication and information flow) on the promotion of strategic management in the international organizations working on Gaza strip. The study used the descriptive analytic approach to search the effect of the administrative decentralization on the promotion of strategic management in the international organizations working in Gaza strip. The Study used both of the primary and secondary resource in data collection when it used the survey method of the literature related to the subject in order to build /form theoretical frame work. A questionnaire was used to collect primary data where the population of the study included employees working in the international organizations working in Gaza strip. The population is 497 and a simple random sample of 170 members was chosen , the questionnaires were distributed to the researched sample members and 130 questionnaires were retained and analyzed. The retention ratio was 74.7% The study reached a number of results and the most important of them were. There was a moderate degree of applying the administrative decentralization system in the international organizations working in Gaza strip and the relative weight of applying this system inside those organizations was 61.8%. In addition to that, the results showed that there is a high degree of interest in promoting strategic management in the international organizations working in Gaza strip as indicated by the relative weight of this section (68.2%). Finally the study's results indicated that there was statistical effect with p-value at (a ≤ 0.05 ) for each of delegations, communications and information flow on the promotion of strategic management in the international organizations working in Gaza Strip. Besides that, the study results indicated that there was a positive correlation between the application of the administrative decentralization system and the promotion of strategic management in the international organizations working in Gaza strip since Pearson's correlation coefficient was (74.7%) and the strongest correlation coefficient was between communication and information flow with promotion of strategic management (74.3%) followed by delegation with correlation ratio (69.7%) and at the end was participation with a correlation of 69.3%. The study recommends that the international organizations should increase their interest in promoting the decentralized work in all their different sectors through giving the employees the opportunities to participate in decision making and directing the future activities depending on their experience acquired in work, taking into consideration that this participation should be real not superficial. Besides, these organizations should provide real opportunities for participation in the strategic issues related to their future and their long-term goals.
