Abstract
This study aimed at investigating the constraints of teachers' creativity and the role of educational supervisors to develop it from the viewpoint of teachers as well as supervisors in Tulkarm governorate. It also aimed to find out any statistical significant differences among the mean scores of teacher's creativity constraints and the role of educational supervisors in the development of teachers creativity from the point of view of the study sample. Descriptive design was used to apply this study. The population of the study consisted of all teachers of Tulkarm governorate for the scholastic year 2012-2013. whose number was (2334), and of all (35) supervisors. A stratrtied radom sample of (466) male and female teachers (%20 of the study population) was male and female teachers (%20 of the study population) was chosen, while all supervisors were included in the study.
The researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of (65) items distributed into six domains: the teacher, school administration, school environment, administrative systems, school curriculum, and local community. To verify the instrument validity, the questionnaire was shown to (16) juries from the Palestinian universities who approved its suitability for the purpose of the study. Cronbach Alpha Coefficient was used to determine reliability; the reliality coefficient was (0.95) for the constraints part, and (0.96)for the roler educational superoisor in developing creativity. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyse data.
Results showed that the degree constraints creativity of teachers from the perspective of teachers as well as supervisors was high(%73.8). It also showed the most important constrais that faced teachers and hindered their creativity were the high burden of teachers, enormity of the curriculum, constraints of overcrowded
classes, and poor physical resources all ocated to the vocational development of teachers.
Results also showed the role degree of the role of supervisors to develop the creativity of teachers from teachers' and supervoisors, point of view was moderat,.
With the mean of (3.49), that is, (%69.8)
It indicated that there were significant differences (α≤ 0.5) among
the means of the teachers' creativity constraints from the perspective of teachers in favour of males.
There were significant differences (α≤ 0.5) among the means of the role of Supervisors in development teachers, creativity from the perspective of the sample members in favour M.A .holders
Based on the results of the study, it was recommended that teachers' burden should be reduced by decreasing the number of periods (classes) and limit school activities to school beneficial activities only. Moreover, it was recommended to offer good motives to encourage teachers to invent and renew his teaching methods. Next, teachers should be guided to diversify their teaching methods.
