Abstract
This study aims to explore the implications of Corona pandemic and impact it on small and medium enterprises in Bethlehem Governorate. The researcher uses the descriptive exploratory approach, while the study population consisted of all owners of small and medium businesses in Bethlehem Governorate, which numbered (402) facilities, and the study was applied on a systematic simple random sample of (202) facilities. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher designed a questionnaire as a tool for data collection. After verifying the tools validity and stability, the researcher did statistical analysis using (SPSS) program. The study finds set of results the most important of which is the implications of the Corona pandemic and impact it on small and medium business in Bethlehem Governorate has a moderately degree. It also reveals that the degree of impact of the Corona pandemic on the closure policy, and the revenues of small and medium enterprises has high degree, while it was medium degree when the precautionary measures were taken and decreased demand, expenses, cost and continuity of work. And also reveals an impact of the Corona pandemic on small and medium enterprises in Bethlehem Governorate. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the average estimates of the study sample members towards the impact of the Corona pandemic on small and medium business in the Bethlehem Governorate according to demographic variables (gender, years of experience). It also indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the average estimates of the study sample members towards the impact of the Corona pandemic on small and medium enterprises in Bethlehem Governorate according to the demographic variables (educational qualification, project size, project age, project type). According to this, the study sets some recommendations, the most important of which are: reviewing of the policies and procedures for closures, and the development of compensatory programs for the losses incurred by small and medium-sized enterprises in compensation, which can take various forms such as reducing taxfees.
