Abstract
This study aims to identify the reality of academic emigration in Palestinian universities by studying the most important factors that may affect the decision to emigrate for them. governmental, public and private in the northern West Bank, and their number reached (1128) academics, where a stratified random sample of (287) individuals was taken. (163) is valid for statistical analysis, and after verifying the validity and reliability of the tool’s tool, the appropriate statistical analysis was conducted, and the study reached the following results: There is an impact of work environment factors (internal and external) on the migration of academics in Palestinian universities, and this came to a high degree, as it showed Results There is no desire among academics working in Palestinian universities to migrate to foreign countries and leave their country of origin, while the study concluded that job satisfaction can be considered as a mediating factor. It explains and clarifies the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable, as it had a significant impact on making the decision to migrate or stay in the mother country, as the greater job satisfaction the less desire to migrate and vice versa, while the study came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: The need for Palestinian universities to work on improving And developing the internal work environment on a continuous basis, so that it contributes to the Palestinian academics staying on top of their work. The study also recommended the importance of providing freedom of research and conducting studies and scientific research for academics, with the need to provide the requirements of scientific research in terms of resources, infrastructure and others.
