Abstract
This study aimed to identify the social and psychological effects of the families of drug
users in Jerusalem Governorate and to know the differences in the respondents’ responses
towards the social and psychological effects according to the study variables.
The trend of the social and psychological effects on the families of drug users in
Jerusalem.
The study population consisted of all families of drug users in Jerusalem, and a random
sample of (50) individuals from those families was selected in the Jerusalem area in the
year 2020-2021.
The descriptive approach and the questionnaire were used as a tool and it consisted of 32
paragraphs distributed on two axes: the axis of social effects, and the axis of psychological
effects. Quantitative statistical analysis was used, using the SPSS statistical package for
social studies, where a number of results were reached, including:
•There are many negative effects affecting the social and psychological aspects of the
families of drug users in Jerusalem governorate, there are no statistically significant
differences at the significance level (α < 0.05) for the variables of gender, degree of
kinship, and educational level on the social and psychological effects of families of drug
users in Jerusalem, The researcher recommended making psychological treatment plans
for the families of drug users under the supervision of the state, and conducting more
research and studies with the families of drug users to determine the extent of the suffering
of this important segment of society, to create solutions to this crisis.
