Abstract
This study aimed to identify “The Effect of Administrative Empowe rment on the Behavior and Values of work in the Governmental Palestinian health sector in the Governorates of Gaza. The study population may consist of all the administrative workers in Nasser Medical Complex, the subject of the study, whose number is (1013), and to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive and analytical approach was used. The use of the questionnaire as a main tool for collecting data from a simple random sample of (281.) The recovered questionnaire, valid for statistical analysis, reached (250) questionnaires, representing (88.96%) of the distributed questionnaires. The study found many results, the most prominent of which was the relative weight of the field of “teamwork” (72.4%), the relative weight of the field of “freedom and independence” (75.7%), and the relative weight of the field of “motivation” (73.7%). “Delegation of authority” (72.6%), and the relative weight of the field of “effective communication” reached (78.4%), and the results showed that there is a statistically significant relationship at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between administrative empowerment in its five dimensions (collective action, freedom and independence, Motivation, delegation of authority, effective communication) and raising the values of work behavior in Nasser Medical Complex, in addition to the lack of influence of areas of administrative empowerment in its five dimensions (team work, freedom and independence, motivation, delegation of authority, effective communication) in raising the values of work behavior in the Nasser complex Medical. The study recommended the necessity of instilling the hospital management a culture of cooperation and mutual dependence among its employees, in addition to the hospital’s contribution in educating individuals about the importance of one team at work, in addition to the necessity for workers to respect the rules of behavior that are consistent with work values, as well as the hospital’s administration’s endeavor to develop competencies each.
