The reasons that encouraged the researcher to choose this topic is the lack of an independent and complete study addressed this topic before ,and the desire to follow and examine ‘Nostalgia’ in the products of the modern poets and show their talents in this kind of poetry, to respond on those who described that era of solidity and tardiness. The significance of this study indicates to its new additions. It accosted the people’s passions and emotions and dealt with different kinds of Nostalgia such as, homesickness, the family, dearly loved, memories and the emitters that stand behind the poetry of Nostalgia like lightning, breeze, doves, tears, beside its technical study. To achieve his aim, the researcher depended on the integrative approach, so sometimes he used history to study and analyze social, political and economic issues, the psychological approach to identify the writer psychological status, the analytical and descriptive approach to deal with the texts and their analysis, and the inductive approach to induce the poetic texts that deal with Nostalgia. The study findings indicate that Nostalgia formed a self-standing intent to some poets in many of their poems, but homesickness is considered the most used one in this kind of poetry. Another kind of Nostalgia appeared as a result of poverty, misery and deprivation with crafts and community poets showed their longing to food, clothes and animals, this kind of poetry is characterized by its honest emotions and by being away from sophistication and complexity, therefore; its words were easy, clear and expressive. The researcher recommends to follow and depict Nostalgia poetry in the second Mamluke era to complete the episodes of this research, to reveal its poetic creations and talents, and to respond on those who described it as solidity and tardiness.
