    Self-Love and its Relation with Stress among a Sample of Autoimmune Patients at Al-Makassed Islamic Charitable Society Hospital/ Jerusalem

    The current descriptive analtyical study aims to measure unconditional self-love and perceived stress in autoimmune patients who attended Al-Makkased Islamic Charitable Hospital/Jerusalem from 2019-2022 inorder to see the relationship between unconditional self-love and perceived stress. This research involves 80 patients diagnosed with rare autoimmune diseases suggested by specialized doctors in autoimmune diseases at Al-Makkaed Islamic Charitable Society Hospital/ Jerusalem , these diseases includes: (multiple sclerosis, Systemic Lupus erythematous, Sjogren's syndrome, type 1 diabetes and Rheumatoid arthritis) , it also examines unconditional self-love and perceived stress among other variables (sex, age, social status and economic situation). For this purpose; two scales were used: perceived stress scale 10-items, and unconditional self-love scale. Results show a significant negative correlation with a statistical significance level of (α ≥ 0.05), by which the higher the unconditional self-love, the lower perceived stress was observed. The only other significant result was in the economical situation variable in perceived stress level, it is also a negative relationship with a statistical significance (α ≥ 0.05), by which the lower the economic situation, the higher the stress. Based on the findings of the study, its clear that there is a significant relationship between unconditional self-love and stress. Its shown that the lower the unconditional self-love the higher the perceived stress. So, further studies are needed to investigate the affect of unconditional self-love in reducing stress level. And since there is no ultimate cure for autoimmune diseases, it is suggested to involve stress management and unconditional self-love practice in the treatment of theses chronic diseases beside medication that only suppress the immune system.

    This study was aimed at detecting level Addiction to social networking sites " Facebook as a model" and its relationship to some variables among students of the higher basic stage in the villages west of Ramallah, and this study used the measure (Bergen) addiction on Facebook and in order to achieve the objectives of the study the researcher was used the descriptive-analytical method, and the sample of the study consisted of (477) students of the higher basic stage students, in villages west of Ramallah. In order to answer the questions electronically, one of the most important findings of the study is the lack of statistically significant differences at the level of indication (α≤0.05) in the level of Facebook addiction attributable to students of the higher basic stage in the villages west of Ramallah, which are attributed For the change in the social status of parents, as well as the lack of statistically significant differences at the level of indication (α≤0.05) in the level of Facebook addiction among students of the higher basic stage in the villages west of Ramallah due to the change in family income, the results show that there is a presence Statistically significant differences in the level of Facebook addiction among students of the higher basic stage in villages west of Ramallah due to the change in the number of hours used Facebook, As well as for all areas (prominence, endurance, mood adjustment, relapse, withdrawal, conflict), in favor of (more than 4) hours and (2-4) hours.

    استخدام وسائط التَّواصل الاجتماعي وعلاقته بالتَّفكير النَّاقد لدى طلبة الثَّانوية في القدس

    هدفت الدِّراسة التَّعرف إلى مستوى استخدام وسائط التَّواصل الاجتماعي، وعلاقته بالتَّفكير النَّاقد لدى عينة الدِّراسة من طلبة الثَّانوية العامة في القدس تبعا ًلمتغيرات: (الجنس، والمستوى الدِّراسي، والتَّخصص)، ولتحقيق أهداف الدِّراسة تم استخدامُ المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، وتم تطبيق الدِّراسة على العينة بالطَّريقة العشوائية الطَّبقية، حيث تكونت عينة الدِّراسة من (221) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة الثَّانوية العامة في القدس . وقد تم اختيار مقياس واطسون– جليسر- المختصر والمعدل حسب البيئة العربية، والتَّأكد من صلاحيتها كأداة من أدوات الدِّراسة، بالإضافة إلى مقياسِ استخدام وسائط التَّواصل الاجتماعي، وأظهرت نتائج الدِّراسة ما يلي: أن مستوى استخدام وسائط التَّواصل الاجتماعي و علاقته بالتَّفكير النَّاقد جاء بدرجة متوسطة، و كذلك متوسط استخدام الوسائط جاء بدرجة متوسطة ، وقد حصل المجال المعرفي على أعلى نسبة (72.9%) ، و أما المجال السلوكي فكانت نسبته أدنى نسبة (61.6%) ، و أن متوسط التفكير الناقد جاء بدرجة متوسطة بنسبة (59.4%)، كما بيّنت نتائج الدراسة أنه لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً لأهمية استخدام الوسائط تبعاً لمتغير الجنس ، بينما وجدت فروق دالة إحصائيا لأهمية استخدام الوسائط تبعا لمتغير التخصص لصالح التجاري ، ومتغير المستوى الدراسي لصالح الحادي عشر ، ،أما بالنسبة للتفكير الناقد فقد أظهرت النتائج أنه توجد فروق تعزى للتخصص لصالح الأدبي و لا توجد فروق تعزى للجنس و المستوى الدراسي . و أشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة طردية بين استخدام وسائط التواصل الاجتماعي و التفكير الناقد لدى أفراد العينة ، وفي ضوء ما توصلت إليه الدِّراسة من نتائج، أوصت الباحثة بضرورة توعية أعضاء هيئة التَّدريس بأهمية مواقع التَّواصل الاجتماعي في العملية التَّعليمية، وذلك من خلال عقد الدَّورات ، كما أوصت بتطوير المناهج الدِّراسية التي تساعد على التفكير الناقد لمراحل التَّعليم عامة ولجميع المواد The study aimed to identify the level of social media use and its relationship to critical thinking among the study sample of high school students in Jerusalem according to the variables: (gender, academic level, and specialization). Stratified randomness ,Where the study sample consisted of (221) male and female students from high school students in Jerusalem. The Watson-Glasser Scale was chosen, which was short and adjusted according to the Arab environment, and to ensure its validity as a tool of the study, in addition to the scale of social media use .The results of the study showed the following: The level of social media use and its relationship to critical thinking was moderately Also, the average media use came to a medium degree, and the cognitive domain got the highest percentage (72.9%), while the behavioral domain was the lowest (61.6%), and the average critical thinking came to a medium degree by (59.4%), as indicated The results of the study that there are no statistically significant differences for the importance of media use according to the gender variable, while there are statistically significant differences for the importance of media use according to the specialization variable in favor of the commercial, and the academic level variable in favor of the eleventh, as for critical thinking, the results showed that there are differences due to specialization in favor of There are no differences due to gender and educational level. The results indicated that there is a direct relationship between the use of social media and the critical thinking of the sample members, and in light of the findings of the study, the researcher recommended the necessity of educating the faculty members of the importance of social networking sites in the educational process, through holding courses, as well as It recommended the development of school curricula that help critical thinking for the stages of education in general, and for all subjects

    This study aimed to identify the nature of attention deficit hyper activity disorder and its relationship to some maladaptive behaviors among children with autism from the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate. The first semester of the academic year 2020/2021 on a sample that consisted of (72) male and female workers, and the researcher used the descriptive correlative approach in this study, where the researcher prepared two tools for the study, which relate to the extent of knowledge of the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate with attention deficit disorder Hyperactivity and its relationship to some maladaptive behaviors in children with autism disorder. The researcher verified the validity and reliability of the two tools, and the data were processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program using arithmetic means, standard deviations, Pearson's correlation coefficient test and One Way ANOVA. The study concluded that the total degree of the study sample’s estimates of the realities of attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity disorder from the point of view of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate came to a medium degree, and also concluded that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05) of the degree of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder among children with autism disorder from the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education due to the variables (sex, specialization, educational qualification, and years of experience). The study also concluded that the field estimates of the reality of maladaptive behaviors among children with autism from the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate are moderately, and that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α≤ 0.05) for some maladaptive behaviors. Persons with autism disorder from the point of view of workers in the field of special education due to the variables (gender, specialization, educational qualification, and years of experience). Finally, the study found a strong positive correlation between the degree of attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity and some maladaptive behaviors among children with autism disorder from the viewpoint of workers in the field of special education in the South Hebron Education Directorate. Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommended conducting studies in more depth, by changing the study tool, such as: conducting interviews, and as a result of the generality of the results, the researcher suggests conducting studies with another approach, such as a case study

    This study aims to identify the relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial adjustment among nurses working at Al –Makassed Charitable Hospital in the city of Jerusalem, to identify the level of sleep disorders and psychosocial adjustment on the study sample and to investigate the differences in the level of sleep disorders and psychosocial adjustment according to study variables ( gendre, marital status , educational qualification, years of experience , income , shift ). A descriptive correlational approach is used in this study in order to achieve the objectives. The researcher used the simple random method to select a sample consisted of ( 185 ) male and female nurses during the second semester of the academic year 2023. The researcher applied the sleep disorders scale prepared by Mohammad Majdi Desouqi ( 2006) , and the Psychosocial Adjustment Scale prepared by Safaa Abdel- Zahra Jamaan (2019), after redrafting and deleting some of its paragraphs commensurate with the present study. The statistical processing of the data was done through the following tests: ( t- test ), the one – way analysis of variance test ( one way anova ), Pearson`s correlation coefficient (Pearson Correlation ) , Cronbach`s alpha stability equation ( Cronbach Alpha ), and that`s by using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences ( SPSS). The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant negative inverse relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial adjustment among nurses working at Al –Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem. The level of sleep disorder came in a moderate degree, as the arithmetic mean for the total score was ( 0,380) and the level of psychosocial and social adjustment came in a moderate degree as well, so the arithmetic mean for the total score was ( 3,62). In addition , the results of the study showed that there were statistically significant individual differences in the level of sleep disorders among nurses working at Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem, due to the shift variable. The study also found that there were statistically significant differences in the level of psychosocial adjustment among nurses working in Makassed Hospital due to ( the scientific qualification variable, years of experience and shifts). At the end of the study, the researcher recommends the preparation of preventive and therapeutic counselling programs to reduce sleep disorders among the nurses in the hospital, and the preparation of training programs for the nursing staff on the subject of psychological adjustment carried out by specialist in order to raise the level of psychosocial adjustment for them, in addition to the implementation of individual and collective counselling meetings about sleep disorders and their negative impact on nurses, especially those who work two shifts or more. There are also some proposals for decision makers, which are the enactment of several laws ,such as hiring a larger number of male and female nurses to reduce the burden of shifts on them , reducing shift hours and introducing an additional shift, so that the number of shifts becomes four instead of three. There are also proposals for scientific research, namely, conducting a similar study to include all nurses working in the Ministry of Health and hospitals in the city of Jerusalem according to these variables, and also conducting studies on other samples in the hospital, such as doctors, administrative staff, receptionsts and correspondents, and also conducting a study on nurses working in the health sector with other psychological variables through the use of qualitative research methods or a case study.
