The effects of the phenomenon of crime in Balata camp were also examined, in addition to the procedures of the security services, the People’s Committee, and the reform committees used to combat crime inside the camp. This study also aimed to identify the difficulties that each of the security services, the People’s Committee, and the reform committees face in combating crime inside Balata Camp, in addition to identifying solutions and treatment mechanisms that can be taken to reduce challenges and difficulties that stand in the way of confronting crime inside the camp. The poll social survey and the quantitative technique were obtained through the use of the questionnaire method and qualitatively through the use of the conference tool and the content exploration method to examine the obtainable crime data. The study relied on primary and secondary sources, where secondary data was obtained by reviewing some previous studies and some books and magazines related to the subject in addition to police statistics on crimes, while the primary data was obtained by using the study questionnaire that was designed to capture specific data. The data from the study sample, which consisted of two parts: the first section contains demographic data, and the second section contains the axes and paragraphs of the study. Interviews were also conducted with some members and members of the security services, the People’s Committee, and the reform committees in Balata camp to support the results of the study and give it strength. The study population consisted of (3,442) young people living in Balata camp aged (18-29), and the study sample consisted of (340) people from Balata camp youth between the age of (18-29) years, (10%) of the study population. The study sample was selected by purposive method. The statistical package program (SPSS) for social sciences was used to statistically process the data collected from the study sample to reach the required results, the most important of which was that the spread of illegal weapons (arms chaos) is the biggest motive for committing crime in Balata camp, where it reached (94.2%) of crime. As the most prevalent crime inside Balata camp is the crime of illegal arms trafficking, which amounted to 92.8%, this greatly affected the phenomenon of crime inside Balata camp. This phenomenon prompted some residents to leave the camp as a place of residence (displacement and migration), where the percentage of displacement and migration reached 93.2%). The results showed that there is clear negligence on the part of the security and judicial agencies in combating and limiting crime in Balata camp, as its percentage reached (41%). It also showed that the procedures of the People's Committee followed in Balata camp to combat crime received a percentage of (60.6%), meaning that it is characterized by a deficiency in contrast to the role of the reform committees, which have a major role in combating crime inside Balata camp, where it reached (68.8%). The results also showed one of the most major difficulties facing the security services, the People's Committee, and the reform committees is the lack of trust between them and the citizens. Therefore, one of the most important solutions is to increase equally the security power and law enforcement. The study made some recommendations, perhaps the most important of which are: developmental and strategic plans should be developed to develop the infrastructure of the camps in general and Balata camp in particular, in addition to the need to work on addressing the causes of crime inside the camp. Key words: Reality, The crime, Balata camp.
