The study explores the intellectual and historical backgrounds that led to the development of an Israeli journalistic language that aims to criminalize the Palestinian and nullify the legitimacy of the Palestinian and his statements. This was manifested explicitly during the Defensive/Deterrent Enclosure Operation where the Israeli mass media played a very significant and vital role especially newspapers; which in spite of conveying to private properties, the newspapers always adopt and propagate the official version of the Israeli government without arguing, objecting, criticizing or modifying it. These newspapers justified the vicious attacks, aggression, starvation and besieging actions against the Palestinian people. The journalistic coverage of this massive military operation, which was the first and biggest of its kind since 1967 in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, exploited a special wording that appeared and reinforced during the conflicts and aggravating tension. It is mainly characterized by being a language that purposes to justify, vindicate and persuade; thus, this language used to cover this operation was rife with lies, distortion, degradation, indignities and faults not only at the level a word, but also in the method of narrating the news, the headlines, the way of describing the Palestinian individual and how the reporters/media personnel are acquainted and understand the Palestinian. The study identifies and differentiates between three levels of wordings used in the Israeli journalistic coverage during the Defensive/Deterrent Enclosure: first, the Pragmatic Level which is used by politicians; it is changeable upon the circumstance. The flagrant Ideological level which refuses entirely to recognize the Palestinian. The third level is the one that the Israelis prefer and use to focus on their suffering and tragedies so as to protect and maintain the pure Hebrew nation and morals. The study approves many defects and flaws in the formation and drafting of the Israeli news and the techniques applied as well as intentional mistakes in narrating the event and deliberate intention to mode the Palestinian so to overlook and disregard him and eventually to dispossess him from the right to express and talk. Moreover, the study tackles the history of the written Israeli Journalism in addition to its role and influence, although it has become a private property, on the various political and economic life aspects in Israel.
