Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify the role of strategic planning in promoting a sustainable educational culture from the perspective of the administrators and academics at the Technical University of Palestine Khadouri. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach. The study population consists of all the university's administrators and academicians (510) with bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees. The researcher used a questionnaire to collect data from the sample of the study, which included (220) individual, or 43% of the study population. The researcher also interviewed the heads of the planning and development department as well as the quality department at the university. The results have shown the following: The extent of the implementation of strategic planning in the university from the respondents' point of view was medium, the attitudes of the respondents towards the sustainable educational culture were high, there were statistically significant differences between administrators and academics in their attitudes towards the extent of the implementation of strategic planning for the benefit of academics, there was a difference in the extent of the implementation of strategic planning due to the variable of scientific qualification in favor of the doctorate, there were statistically significant differences in educational cultural assumptions due to the years of experience in favor of (6-10) years. The study concluded with a number of recommendation: Forming a strategic planning team that includes a large number of administrators and academics from all departments with highly expertise in planning, formulating the vision and mission of the University, and define the University future goals and plans, in addition to publishing them in media, urging all the employees to use all the available resources to achieve the University’s strategic educational goals.
