Abstract
This study aimed to investigate to what extent was the implementation of School-Based Teacher Development program "SBTD” from UNRWA (West Bank) supervisor’s and school principals’ point of view, and the role of the study variables on SBTD implementation. In order to achieve the aims of the study, the researcher developed a questionnaire which included (46) items divided into six domains that were derived from the SBTD program. The questionnaire’s validity and reliability was verified by using the appropriate educational and statistical methods. The researcher used the qualitative research method by using a comprehensive survey. it was applied on the whole population of the study which included (111) male and female school principals and education supervisors, (105) responded to it. That means the percentage of (94.6%) participated in the study. The results revealed that the estimates of the study population on the extent of teachers' implementation of the (SBTD) program were high, on all the study variables, with a total average of (4.17) on Likert scale. The results also showed differences between the estimates of the study population on teachers’ implementation of (SBTD) according to the study variables; gender (in favor of females), job title (in favor of school principals), educational qualification (in favor of MA degree or higher), experience (in favor of ten years or more), educational area (in favor of Jerusalem area) and the school gender (in favor of female schools). In light of the results of the study, the researcher came up with some relevant recommendations.
