The study aimed to identify the reality of applying governance standards in the areas of water sector management and its role in achieving water security in the Palestinian Jordan Valley areas. Planning and budgeting, development sector (project implementation), human resource management, and financial management. The descriptive approach was adopted in conducting this study, the study population consisted of workers in bodies, ministries, and institutions related to the water sector represented in (the Water Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Supreme Council for Water Sector Regulation, the Hydrologists Association, local government bodies, and agricultural associations). An intentional sample was chosen from the study population consisting of (55) research items. Categories were chosen from heads, bodies, directors of public administrations and officials who have the ability to answer the paragraphs of the study in their capacity in higher administrative and supervisory positions and decision-makers. The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data and it was distributed electronically. According to the study sample, as a result of safety measures, social distancing requirements, and non-mixing due to the spread of the Corona pandemic, (50) questionnaires were retrieved for statistical analysis, at a rate of (90.9%). The study concluded with several results, the most important of which are: that there is a strong direct relationship between the application of governance standards in the areas of water sector management and achieving water security in the Jordan Valley. Water in achieving water security in the Palestinian Jordan Valley, as it means that the application of governance standards in the areas studied explains (69.4%) of the change in the reality of water security, while the rest of the factors that affect institutional performance explain what its value is (30.6%). 1) of the change in the reality of water security, which is a strong degree of influence that shows the importance and reflection of the application of governance standards on water security from the point of view of workers in institutions and bodies operating in this sector, and it shows the presence of a moral impact for the application of governance standards in all areas studied, as shown. The study showed that the reality of implementing governance standards in the areas of water sector management was high, while the reality of water security in the Palestinian Jordan Valley was of a moderate degree. Water sector management machines and these differences were attributed to the job title factor, while there were no significant differences in the respondents' answers due to workplace factors and years of experience. The study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which are: that the ministries, agencies and institutions partner in managing the Palestinian water sector, especially in the Jordan Valley areas, seek to put in place plans and mechanisms that lead to a further increase in the level of application of governance standards, because of its great impact on achieving water security in this region, The study also recommended working ح through the Council of Ministers to reformulate and approve standards for drinking water quality, in partnership with all stakeholders in this field.
