Abstract
This study aimed to identify the role of management by walking around in achieving
the sustainability of small enterprises by the point of view of workers in Microfinance
institutions operating in the southern Palestinian governorates. The researcher used the
descriptive-analytical method, and the study population consisted of all the workers in
Microfinance institutions operating in the southern Palestinian governorates, whose number
is (102) workers , The researcher used the comprehensive survey method, where the
questionnaire distributed to all of the study population in the online due to the Corona
pandemic, and the number of respondents reached (94) of employees , with rate of response
(92.2%), and the researcher used the questionnaire as a tool of data collection.
The study conclude the many important results are: (70.4%) of the study population
believe that the level of management by walking around in Microfinance institutions
operating in the southern Palestinian governorates is positive, with high degree of approval,
and that (72.8%) of the study believe that the level of sustainability of Small enterprises in
microfinance institutions operating in the southern Palestinian governorates is positive, with
high degree of approval, as the results shown that there is a statistically significant relations
at a significance level (0.05) between the dimensions of the management practice by
walking around (discovering of facts, Communication Improve, motivation, development
and creativity, feedback) , and sustainability of small enterprises in Microfinance institutions
operating in the southern Palestinian governorates, where the correlation coefficient (0.60),
as there is also an impact of the feedback dimensions on the sustainability of small
enterprises in Microfinance institutions operating in the southern Palestinian governorates,
as this dimensions explained (38%) of the total variance in the sustainability of small
enterprises.
This study reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: The
interest of senior management in Palestinian Microfinance institutions to improve
management practices by walking around among workers in supervisory positions to
become a systematic, targeted process , it aim to discovering work facts in practice on the
ground, activating the process of communication and communication with workers, using it
as an effective tool in motivating workers , developing them and increasing their creativity,
and the procedures for obtaining loans by Microfinance institutions for owners of small
enterprises should be facilitated, in addition to providing technical advice for serious ideas
presented by talented people in all fields. The government should grant unlimited support to
small enterprises financially and morally, reduce taxes on small enterprises, and work to
open new markets for the products of these projects; To ensure its continuity and survival.
