Abstract
In this study, The researcher dealt with a set of labor rights guaranteed by both the Palestinian Labor Law and Decree Law No. 19 of 2016 regarding social security for the worker.
This study came in three chapters. In the introduction, the researcher dealt with the concept of social security in terms of what it is, given the goal it seeks to achieve in addition to its own means as well as its importance. The researcher also discussed the historical development of social security in international declarations and charters as well as national legislation.
The researcher has devoted the first chapter of this study to the general provisions of the decree law on social security by researching the categories included and excluded from coverage by its provisions and the provisions of the labor law, where these categories are listed exclusively, and the study also shown the worker's wage, the contributions rate, the payment mechanism, and the guarantees of their fulfillment in both laws in terms of clarifying the concept of wages and its form, determining the contributions rate, guarantees that the
worker's wage is collected in the labor law, and collecting the contributions of the Social Security Corporation.
In the last chapter, the researcher dealt with insurances covered by the provisions of decree law on social security, which it divided through two topics: In the first section it dealt with compulsory and optional old age insurance and maternity insurance, In the second section disability and natural death insurance, and work injury insurance.Top of Form.
