Abstract
This study aimed at Identifying the beliefs of Arabic language teachers in
higher basic stage about writing in Hebron Education Directorate and its
relation to their literary text appreciation skills.
And to achieve the goals of this study the researcher used the descriptive
method (Relational) and the questionnaire, it was submitting to group of
(201) male and female teachers in the first semester of the academic year
2020/2021.
After collecting and analyzing data, The study showed the following results:
-The beliefs of Arabic language teachers among students in the higher basic
stage in Hebron about writing reached the average (41.81) , percentage is
46% and its low degree.
- There were statistically significant differences in the means of teachers
beliefs about writing in favor of males.
- There were no statistically significant differences in the means of teachers
beliefs about writing due to experience and qualification variables.
- The beliefs of Arabic language teachers about literary text appreciation
skills among students in the higher basic stage in Hebron reached the average
(46.26) , percentage is 42% and its low degree.
- There were statistically significant differences in the average of literary text
appreciation skills due to Bachelor.
- There were no statistically significant differences in the means of literary
text appreciation skills because of study variables (gender and experience).

- There were statistically significant direct relationship between the beliefs of
Arabic language teachers in higher basic stage in Hebron Education
Directorate about writing and the literary text- appreciation skills.
Based on the results of this study, the researcher recommends to build a
program to improve Arabic language teachers writing skills and literary textappreciation,
and adopting a program to train teachers to develop their writing
and literary appreciation skills.
