Abstract
The study aimed to identify the impact of applying social responsibility, represented by its dimensions (charitable, ethical, legal, and economic) in raising the efficiency of workers in health non-governmental organizations: A Case Study of the Union of Health Work Committees.
To reach the goal of the study, the descriptive and analytical approach was used, and the study was prepared with a questionnaire based on previous studies, its validity and reliability were tested through an exploratory sample amounting to (30) single, and the study was applied to a stratified random sample in the Union of Health Work Committees of (325) employee a random sample of (179) individuals was selected and the exploratory sample was excluded.
The study reached the following results: There is a general practice of social responsibility at a large level (73.05%), as the most practiced dimensions showed is the ethical dimension of social responsibility (77.53%), followed by the charitable dimension (75.39%), followed by the economic dimension (72.59%), and finally the legal dimension (66.70). The results showed that the level of performance efficiency of workers in the Union of Health Work Committees in the Gaza Strip from the employees' point of view was high at a percentage of (81.20%), as well as the presence of a statistically significant average positive relationship at a significance level of (α≤ 0.05) between social responsibility and efficiency of performance of workers in health non-governmental organizations in the Gaza
Strip, and direct proportional positive effect of the dimensions of social responsibility (the ethical dimension, the economic dimension) on the efficiency of workers, and the negative effect of the legal dimension, and there is no effect of the charitable dimension, in addition to the presence of statistically significant differences at a significant level of (α≤0.05) among the averages of the study sample's scores on both social responsibility and the efficiency of workers from the viewpoint of workers in health non-governmental organizations in the Gaza Strip attributable to the following personal variables: (age, academic qualification, job title, years of experience).
The study came out with several recommendations: The need for the administration of the Union of Health Work Committees to pay more attention to the implementation of programs related to social responsibility and its various dimensions, It also recommended that the Union of Health Work Committees should pay attention to social responsibility towards workers, especially with regard to providing a system of occupational safety and comprehensive social security that satisfies its workers. In addition, it recommended that the management follow a section of higher management and social mediators, a special team under the name of the Department of Supervising the Implementation of Responsibility in the Union of Health Work Committees.
