Abstract
This thesis aimed to reveal the effectiveness of the symbolic economics method in improving reading among students with learning difficulties, and the thesis population may be from the resource room students, numbering (25) students, and the study sample was limited to (4) students with learning difficulties in Al Sawahrah Al Sharqiya School basic. To achieve this aim, the researcher used the experimental method, and she chose four students from the resource room intentionally to apply the scale of reading skills with the use of the symbolic reinforcement method. The results showed an improvement in the average marks of the dimensional reading skills scale, with the average mark being (145) from the overall total (167), while the total average of the marks in the pre-reading skills scale was (98.5) from the overall marks (167). In terms of the difference in the performance of the female students in the post-reading skills scale from the tribal one, student (D) (132) scored marks in the pre-reading skills scale while she got (161) marks in the post-graduate reading skills scale, and the student (L) scored 131 marks in the reading skills scale. And the student (B) scored (75) in the pre-reading skills scale and (130) in the dimension, and the student (P) scored (56) marks in the pre-reading skills scale and (132) in the post this means that the level of female students has increased significantly after using the symbolic economy method in education. In light of these results, the researcher recommended several recommendations, including: Training male and female teachers on the use of the symbolic economy method in teaching by specialized bodies in special education.
