| dc.description.abstract | The study aims to reveal the role of legal translation in the sustainability of institutional performance in the Palestinian government sector. The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach to reach the results. The questionnaire was designed and used to collect primary data from the study sample. The study population may be among the practicing translators for the year 2022 in Palestine, and their number (128), according to the reports issued by the Ministry of Justice for the year 2022; The researcher used both the questionnaire and the interviews tool to collect the primary data, and the researcher relied in the comprehensive inventory method and questionnaires were distributed to them, and (92) questionnaires were retrieved with a recovery rate of (71.87%), and the interview tool was implemented with a group of experts, specialists and decision-makers in the Palestinian government sector in order to enhance the reliability of the results. The study concluded that there is a strong positive correlation between legal translation and the sustainability of institutional performance, in addition to the existence of an influential and positive role in general for legal translation in its dimensions in the study: (translation strategies, translation problems and legal language) in achieving the sustainability of institutional performance at the Palestinian government sector. The results also showed that the "effectiveness of the dimension of translation strategy" ranked first" with a relative weight (75.8%), while it came in the second Ranke, "the dimension of translation problems" with a relative weight of (74.6%). And in the third Ranke is the "legal language dimension" with a relative weight (73.0%). The study concluded that the decision-makers in the Palestinian Ministry of Justice should pay attention to promoting work on developing legal translation and publishing their experiences through workshops, seminars and publications that explain the strategies and problems of legal translation. With the benefit of improving the quality of the efficiency of legal translation, as well as its contribution to enhancing access to the sustainability of the institutional performance of the government sector as a result of its implementation in general, With the need to establish an Association for legal translators so that it acts as an institution that protects their rights and organizes their work affairs, which contributes to the development and evolution of their capabilities in order to improve their actual performance. | en |
