The study is made to recognize the perceived body image level and its relation with self-esteem to a sample of adolescents who are students at Nablus governate schools . The study sample consisted of (370) students girls and boys from grades ( 8th) and ( 11th) in the first semester of the scholastic year (2012-2013), who have been chosen in a class random sample way . The data of study have been collected through a questionnaire which has been prepared particularly for study purposes, and it was made of two parts: the first one contains general information about the students while the second one was made of paragraphs which measure the perceived body image and self –esteem . The logical sincerity has been measured of the questionnaire through showing it to ( 8) judges and the total reliability coefficient reached to (0,98 ). The study showed that the total degree level of the perceived body image to some sample of the adolescents in Nablus governate schools was medium and reached to (69.9%), and the whole result of the self-esteem to a sample of the adolescents was also medium reached to ( 68.4 % ) . The result indicates statistical significance in the averages of the adolescents answers about the perceived body image and self-esteem referring to the sex factor and the indicator of the body bulk . The results didn’t show differences regarding to the age variable and they showed the existence of differences which have statistical significance due to the place of residency variable according to the general appearance . The study proved an existence of positive relation which has statistical significance between the perceived body image to a sample of adolescents in Nablus schools and their self-esteem level, while the correlation coefficient reached nearly to (0.90 %). In the light of the outcomes, the researcher concludes for the need of preparing guidance programs which help in modifying the negative perception of the body image and the self-esteem as well as the reach to a clear understanding of the concept of upgrading which develops the mind, morals, soul and body of adolescents in the school curriculum.
