In this paper we show that the use of sampling weights when estimating regression models with survey data discussed by Magee, Robb and Burbidge (1998), and the use of sample distribution in fitting regression models with survey data proposed by Pfeffermann and Sverchkov (1999) are coincide methods dealing with the same statistical problem.en_US
