| dc.description.abstract | The study aimed to identify the reality of financial inclusion and its repercussions on economic growth in Palestine (2008-2018). The study used the standard approach to reach the results. The study also used the time series data of the Palestinian economy as they represented in the official annual data issued by the official website of the World Bank for the period (2008-2018). The dimensions of the independent variable were (the number of depositors' accounts, the total value of individual deposits, the total facilities, the total number of ATM debit cards), and the dependent variable was (economic growth). The study found some results, the most important were: The existence of a positive and statistically significant effect of financial inclusion on stimulating economic growth in Palestine, which indicates that the doubling of financial inclusion from the current status. The results of the study also showed that there is a steady rise in GDP values during the period (2008-2018), as this period witnessed a continuous increase that reached its peak during the fourth quarter of 2018, This indicates a continuous and sustainable increase in the value of GDP in Palestine. The study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important were: the need to work on developing legislative and regulatory frameworks for the activities of financial and banking institutions, in order to improve the activities of these institutions in a way that supports economic growth in Palestine, in addition to the recommendation of conducting awareness and education campaigns for Palestinian citizens, In order to enhance their attitudes towards using financial services, and to increase citizens’ awareness of the opportunities offered by these financial services and the risks that must be avoided, in order to improve their use of financial services in a way that supports the local economic growth process. | en |
