This study was conducted between the years 2018 and 2019.It aimed at identifying the effectiveness of the agricultural training in improving the performance of the agricultural extortionists in the agricultural directorates in the Southern West Bank based on the axis of the training process represented (with the attention of senior management and the identification of needs, planning, design, evaluation and implementation). The study was also conducted to identify the effect of the characteristics of the demographic sample (sex , age, qualification, place of residence), and the functional variables (directorate, administrative level, years of experience, number of years of work) ,alsoTraining variables concerning for the type of courses (extension, technical and service) and the number of courses (internal and external) and the effect of “variable” training on job performance. The descriptive approach was used as a method to achieve the objectives of this study. The Questionnaire was the tool to collect data for the study, after verifying its validity and stability. The study included all 120 Extentionists in the directorates of agriculture. The study population was selected for all extension agents .Data analyzed using spss package , The study emphasis was on One –Sample Wilcoxon Aigned Rank Test. The difference between the respondent's answers and the neutral center was tested for the test (Lycert quintet). The researcher concluded that there is a large discrepancy between the number of Extentionists in the directorates of agriculture and the limited participation of female Extentionists in internal and external training programs. He also noticed alack of training plan, lack of central database of training programs and the lack of procedural guide to the training process. Variables (senior management interest, evaluation, implementation and number of external courses) were the most effective factors in expecting the influence of training courses on the job performance. The apparent decrease in the relative weight of the positive aspects of the planning axis was diagnosed with a percentage of 39.80%, which is the weakest among the study axes . The implementation level was best in the responses with a relative weight of 61.53% while the relative weight of the positive points in the effect of training on job performance was 54.39%. The overall level of job performance of agricultural extension agents is average. The absence of statistically significant differences in the effecع tiveness of training in improving the performance of the agricultural extension is attributed to all the variables of the study except the variable years of experience. The study shows that There is a significant correlation between job performance and all the study axes The study came to many conclusions: The agricultural training needs are medium, which indicates that they are conducted only through the study of theoretical needs and do not correspond to the real needs of the real problems of agricultural extension workers .The urgent need to reflect the principles of transparency, objectivity and professionalism in the nomination of mentors for training programs , Lack of financial budgets to design training programs. The study came out with a set of recommendations , as follows: Encouraging female Extentionists to participate in training programs, Launching training plans, Developing a new planning department, Emphasizing the transparency of standards for training programs, Increasing attention to identifying actual needs, Increasing attention to identifying actual needs, Linking financial incentives to the annual assessment process, Providing budgets for training program.
