dc.description.abstractThis Study aims to identify the role of the strategic orientations in improving the effectiveness of administrative decision-Taking among the employees of General Personnel council. To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive and analytical approach was adopted. The study population consisted of all employees (73), who working in various jobs at the General Personnel council- the southern governorates. A comprehensive inventory method was used to distribute the questionnaire to the study population. (59) questionnaires have been returned with a recovery rate of (84.3%). The SPSS program was used for data entry and analyzing and hypothesis testing. The most important findings of this Study were: The strategic orientations availability level had a high rate of approval with a relative weight of (77.4%), as well as was the effectiveness of administrative decision-Tacking, which had also a high rate of approval with a relative weight of (76.86%). There is a strong positive statistically significant relationship between the strategic orientations with all their dimensions, and the administrative decision-Tacking. The results have also shown that there is a statistically significant impact of the strategic orientations on the administrative decision-Tacking, which has explained (71.8%) of the variance in the dependent variable, whereas the dimension of (Mission) had no effect. It was found that there were no statistically significant differences between the respondents' average responses to the Study variable (strategic orientations) due to the variables of (gender, qualification, job title, and years of service), while it turned out that there were no substantial differences about (the administrative decision-Tacking) according to gender, qualification and job title, whereas there were differences according to years of service and in favor of those with periods of service exceeding (15) years. Among the most important recommendations of the Study: Paying attention to the strategic orientations, and encouraging workers at all administrative levels to participate in formulating them as an essential factor having great impact in the effectiveness of decision-Tacking; enhancing harmony between the values adopted by the General Personnel council and the society in which it operates, and motivating workers to practice ethical behavior and values as well as adhering to them. Besides, having sufficient flexibility in amending the decisions taken, increasing the ability to adapt to the surrounding circumstances and consecutive developments, and benefiting from, and learning from past experiences to avert repeating of the same mistakes in the field of decision-tacking.
