The researcher attempts to discover the future of the relations between Turkey and the European Union. One of the findings of this study shows that Turkey needs to fulfill all the requirements and prerequisites in order to join the European Union. Furthermore, there are many obstacles that are still existent, which are not to be solved in the near future, such as the geographical position of Turkey, and it’s threatening effect on Europe, especially considering the current complicated neighboring situation. Not to mention the Armenian issue, in which Turkey is still refusing to admit the massacres that have been made to the Armenians through the Ottoman Empire on 1915.In addition to the Cyprus problem and other problems related to lack of democracy in Turkey. Through this study, the researcher has been able to show many scenarios for the future relationship between Turkey and the European Union, such as refusing their request, or accepting Turkey to be part of the European Union as well, in which it is concluded that this is the weaker scenario. Some of the suggested representations were to grant Turkey an honorary position or a special partnership with the EU, without a full membership, as to be able to maintain a good relationship of mutual benefits with Turkey in particular and the Middle East in general. As for the predictions regarding Turkey, it is represented by Turkey being a mediator, as to keep the relationship with Europe in a try to join the EU, and building international and regional alliances based on mutual benefits at the same time.
