Abstract
This study aims at investigating the relationship between job rotation and job performance amongst employees of the Palestinian Ministry of Education from the perspective of the department heads. It also aims at examining the level of job performance and its impact on creativity and employees' relationship with each other. It also aims to examine the effect of job rotation on employees' efficiency. The significance of the study stems from the fact that it strengthens the knowledge base regarding job rotation, directs the attention of officials to the importance of implementing job rotation, and provides decision-makers with feedback on the effectiveness and extent of success of the implemented job rotation policies. The study operates within the descriptive studies methodology. It uses a questionnaire to collect data of the study and was distributed to the pupoulation of the study consisting of all department heads, agents and general directors working in the ministry of education in the derectorates of Rammallah, Jersualem and Bethlehem. The study uses the comprehensive survey to the all department heads and direcors of the pouplation of the study. Data of the study is processed by using the SPSS program. Analyzing data of the study discloses that job rotation, to a high degree, increases employees' work performance. It works out many problems relating to work performance, motivates competition among employees, breaks routine particularly when working for long periods with the same staff, reduces corruption that may occur when working for long periods with the one staff and place. The study also reveals that job rotation, to a large degree, upgrades employees' efficiency due to the wide range of skills and experience resulted in changing work places from time to time. Analysing the data also discloses that job rotation excites creativity and innovation as working for long periods in one place with the same staff is more likely to lead to the death of creativity skills and abilities. The results also reveal that job rotation, to a medium degree, affects work skills particularly when working with a staff as it enhances making new relationships with other workers, and this in turn improves work performance
