Abstract
The study aims to identify the role of E-training platform (Moodle) in developing the knowledge and skill to the employees of medical and health professions at MOH (Palestinian Ministry of Health), through identifying the efficiency of E-training's provided by this platform, the ability of E-training to keep up with the needs and the requirements of the employees, and clarifying the used methods challenges and circumstances that might be faced, to do this, the researcher conducted a questionnaire includes 62 questions that are divided into 5 parts, and it ensures a high level of reliability and transparency. The targeted group of the study consists of the employees of medical and health professions at MOH (Palestinian Ministry of Health) who received E-training through (Moodle) platform, and they reach to 2740 employees, the study sample is about 337 employees, and this was calculated by Robert Mason equation. The result of the study shows a positive correlation with a statistical index between E-training platform (Moodle) and developing the knowledge and skill to the employees of medical and health professions at MOH (Palestinian Ministry of Health), on the other hand, it shows an inverse correlation with a statistical index between circumstances and the skills development, besides, the results didn't provide any significant differences according to the statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05 ) in the average of targeted group responses about the role of E-training platform (Moodle) in developing the knowledge and skill, they are related to variables such as: (gender, age, educational qualifications, years of experience), and it shows a statistical significant differences in the variable of job title /part of the role of E-training platform (Moodle). The study also provides statistically significant differences in the numbers of training/part of the role of the E-training platform (Moodle). The study concludes a few recommendations, first of all is to offer moral and material incentives in order to encourage the admission of trainees for E-training programs, working on linking training to performance and career progression to number of trainings, rewarding trainees at the end of each E- training, developing and updating the infrastructure and the technical abilities to enhance the performance of the platform, spreading the culture of E-training and technology usage, spreading the culture of E-training through ministry of health training platform, enhancing and increasing number of the proposed training sessions as the results show a high level of efficiency of the E-training platform, and raising awareness among employees about the importance of E-training as it affords broad prospects for knowledge and development, another recommendation's produced by the study which is to intensify and develop the way of studying the needs and requirements of the work, in order to raise the level of E-training performance in satisfying these needs and requirements, the last recommendation is to enhance the assessment and following up with the E-training programs, as the study reflects some weaknesses in this area to some extent.
