Abstract
This study aimed to identify the extent of applying the principles of total quality management (TQM) in the vehicle testing centers "Dynamometers" in the West Bank, which is represented by the participation of workers in the decision-making process, continuous improvement and development, policies and strategies, administrative systems and to identify this according to age, job title, gender, Duration of service, and educational qualification. In order to achieve the goals of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was used in addition to the personal interview and a checklist was made, in order to study the application of the standards of total quality management(TQM) through a study of the opinions of workers in the vehicle inspection centers to the degree of application of those principles in the centers, where the study community is among the workersg Vehicle inspection centers and they are (151) employees, and the comprehensive survey sample method was used, where (151) questionnaires were distributed and (142) questionnaires were reclaimed, i.e. (94%) of the employees. The personal interview was also used with the President of the Dynamometers brotherhood, And part of the professional managers in these centers. The study reached several results, the most important of them are: • The degree of application of the principles of total quality management in the vehicle inspection centers was high, but there were many obstacles that faced the process of applying total quality standards in the centers. The most important of study recommendation: • The study recommends that the centers manage to increase work to raise the level of quality in the vehicle inspection centers, engaging workers in the decision-making process, taking their opinions, and optimizing the use of technical and human resources. • Working to continuously update the electronic registration systems in the centers. Increasing awareness of the concept of total quality management and the importance of its application, especially for the management of centers
