Abstract
The study aimed to identify the reality of knowledge management among government
school principals in the Hebron Governorate and its relationship to decision-making from
the teachers ’point of view, as well as to come up with a set of recommendations
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical
method, and the researcher chose a sample
The study is according to the stratified random sampling method, as the study sample
reached (650) male and female teachers from the Hebron Governorate schools.
A questionnaire was prepared to measure knowledge management for school principals
in the Hebron governorate from the teachers' point of view and it consists of (38) items
distributed into five areas: (knowledge diagnosis, knowledge generation, knowledge
storage, knowledge distribution, and knowledge application) and a questionnaire to
measure decision-making consisting of (67) A paragraph distributed into six areas which
are (identifying and diagnosing the problem, collecting data and information, determining
the available alternatives and evaluating them, choosing the appropriate alternative,
making the decision, and following up on the implementation of the decision).
1. The degree of practicing knowledge management processes of the school principal
from the point of view of male and female teachers in the Hebron governorate was
average in all fields, and the degree of practicing decision-making processes from the
teachers ’viewpoint in the Hebron governorate was moderate in all fields.
2. There is a correlation between the sample averages of the sample’s estimate of the
degree of practicing knowledge management processes and the averages of their
estimates for the degree of decision-making processes among school principals from the
teachers ’point of view in Hebron governorate schools. The correlation was strong and
direct.
3. There are no differences between the estimates of the study sample individuals towards
knowledge management processes due to variables: gender, academic qualification, years
of experience, specialization, while there are differences in the two fields (knowledge
generation and knowledge storage), in favor of the natural sciences specialization.
4. There are no differences between the estimates of the study sample individuals towards
the degree of managers practice of decision-making processes due to variables: gender,
specialization, years of experience, scientific qualification, while there are differences in
the field of identifying and evaluating available alternatives, and in favor of those whose
scientific qualification is MA or higher.
