Abstract
This study aimed to determine the relationship between imaginative ability and scientific curiosity among higher basic stage students in schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education in North Hebron / Palestine. The sample of the study, which was selected in a cluster random manner, included 740 students from the seventh and ninth grades. The researcher used the descriptive approach (Correlation method). The researcher set up a questionnaire to measure imaginative ability and a questionnaire to measure scientific curiosity. The researcher used means and standard deviations and two-way analysis of variance test, Pearson correlation coefficient and Alpha Cronbach equation. The results showed that the degrees of imaginative ability and scientific curiosity among students of the higher basic stage were high. It was also found that the two grades were in favor of seventh-grade students and also in favor of females. It was also found that there is a positive relationship between imaginative ability and scientific curiosity. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended working on directing and developing the imaginative ability and curiosity of science among students to encourage them to be creative and innovative.
