Abstract
This study aimed to identify the extent of art education teachers ’awareness of the Islamic decoration skills, This study was conducted on art education teachers in Hebron governorate schools in the second semester of the academic year 2019/2020 on a sample consisting of (94) teachers, the researcher used the descriptive approach. Analytical study in this study, where the researcher prepared a study tool related to the extent of art education teachers ’awareness of the Islamic decoration skills. The researcher confirmed the validity of the tool by calculating the apparent validity, statistical validity, and constructive validity/ The data were processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program using arithmetic averages, standard deviations, Pearson Correlation Coefficient Test, One Way ANOVA and LSD for comparisons. The study found that the sample of the study in Hebron governorate take a high awareness of the written decoration skills. Also, it showed a medium degree of engineering decoration skills. Also. The study proved a medium degree of plant decoration. It also concluded that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the study sample estimates of the reality of art education teachers ’awareness of the Islamic decoration skills due to the directorate variable and the variable The academic qualification , and a differences according to the school sex variable attributable to the benefit of female schools, and there are differences according to the years of experience variable, and in favor of the years of experience (6-10) years. Acurding to on the results of the study, the researcher recommended the necessity of identifying the actual training needs of art education teachers, holding training courses for them in light of those needs, and the necessity to focus on selecting fine arts graduates to be employed as teachers for the subject of art education, and to focus on the importance of supervision and follow-up for the technical education teachers ’achievement of the educational goals in the curriculum
