Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explain the design thinking and It's relation with the creative mathema􀆟cal problem solving for the scien􀆟fic 11th grade students in Palestine. To achieve this study objectives of this study the researcher has made a test to measure the skills of the design thinking in mathematics, there's another test to measure the skills of the creative mathematical problem solving by reviewing the educational literature and the previous studies. The correlational descriptive approach was also used to fit this study. The study includes the scien􀆟fic 11th grade students in north Hebron directorate schools. They were (811) students. The study sample reached (202) students. The two tests were applied on the study sample during the first semester 2020/2021. The study shows that the level of design thinking for the scien􀆟fic 11th grade students was acceptable. The mean of the total degree (63.7) and a standard devia􀆟on of (16.7). Moreover the results of the creative mathematical problem solving was also acceptable. The mean of the total degree (30) and a standard devia􀆟on of (9.86). The results also showed that there is no difference of a statistical indication in the arithmetical means of design thinking is due to the gender variable. However the results show differences of a statistical indication in the arithmetical means is because of the achievement level variable, and it was for the achievement level (more than 85). The results showed a correlational relation of a statistical indication between the design thinking and the crea􀆟ve mathema􀆟cal problem solving for scien􀆟fic 11th grade students in Palestine, the value of Person Coefficient was (0.74) and it's a very strong positive correlation, that means when the level of design thinking increases the level of creative mathematical problem solving increases and vice versa. Based on the study results the researcher recommended to train teachers to use strategies to develop these skills of design thinking and the creative mathematical problem solving, and to include activities and training to develop these skills in the Palestinian Curriculum. And to conduct more studies about the skills of the design thinking and another about the skills of the creative mathematical problem solving.
