Abstract
Background: Artificial intelligence (AI), particularly tools like ChatGPT, is increasingly integrated into healthcare education and practice. Despite its potential benefits in medication counseling and clinical decision support, concerns remain regarding its accuracy, safety, and ethical implications.
Objectives: This study aimed to assess pharmacy students’ knowledge, attitudes, safety perceptions, and readiness to use ChatGPT as a clinical decision-support and medication counseling tool in Palestine.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted between December 2025 and March 2026 among senior pharmacy students in Palestinian universities. Data were collected using a structured electronic questionnaire covering demographics, AI exposure, knowledge, attitudes, safety perceptions, ethical concerns, and readiness. Data were analyzed using SPSS with descriptive and inferential statistics.
