Epidemiology in Palestine is a vital discipline for understanding health trends and informing public health responses in a context marked by political conflict, restricted mobility, and resource limitations. The Palestinian Ministry of Health, in collaboration with universities and international organizations, monitors both communicable and non-communicable diseases, including diabetes, cancer, stress, depression, and infectious diseases. Despite challenges like limited infrastructure and divided health systems, Palestinian public health professionals have made significant strides in disease surveillance, health research, and capacity building. Epidemiology remains essential for addressing health disparities, improving health services, and guiding policy decisions to protect the well-being of the population.
