Abstract
The present study aimed to identify The Degree of School Principals' Innovative Leadership in Jerusalem Suburbs Directorate School, in light of the independent study variables, which are: gender, supervising authority, educational qualification, years of experience, and educational stage. To achieve the aim of the study, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (40) items distributed into four domains: Innovative planning, effective communication and communication, personal initiatives and problem solving in innovative ways, and its validity and reliability were verified by appropriate statistical methods. The study population consisted of all the teachers in public and private schools in the Directorate of Education - the suburbs of Jerusalem - and their number (1596) male and female teachers , The study sample included (533) male and female teachers from the Jerusalem Suburbs Directorate, who were randomly selected from the study population, constituting 33.4% of the original community for the study, and the researcher used the descriptive method for its relevance to this study. The results of the study showed that the degree of innovative leadership practice among principals of education schools in the suburbs of Jerusalem district was high, with an arithmetic average of (3.83) for the total score, and the results of the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05≥α) in the average responses of individuals. The study sample for the degrees of innovative leadership practice among principals of education schools in the suburbs of Jerusalem directorate is attributed to the study variables. In light of the study findings, the researcher suggested a set of recommendations, including: The Ministry of Education has to adopt the innovative leadership style in its schools as it is a management philosophy that focuses on the continuous improvement and development of work, and supports the participation of all workers in the analysis and evaluation of new ideas, the fact that innovation stems from team work is intense and continuous and does not depend only on individual effort.
