Abstract
The study aimed to define the role of government in its various dimensions that include (transparency and disclosure, justice and equity, response, accountability, participation, and monitoring) in achieving sustainable agricultural development by applying to the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture in the Gaza Strip. The study used the descriptive analytical method to study the phenomenon and describe its nature and the quality of the relationship between its variables, its causes and directions, and the study used a questionnaire tool to collect primary data, where the study community was represented by workers in the upper and middle management (director, head of department, head of division) and its number of 93 employees according to numbers Issued by the Human Resources Department in the Ministry of Agriculture for the year 2019, they were targeted by relying on a comprehensive inventory method, and the focus groups Technique was used to poll farmers' opinions, where 4 groups were implemented for (45) male and female farmers distributed in the governorates of the Gaza Strip. The study concluded a set of results, the most important of which is the presence of a statistically significant moral effect of implementing the principles of government in achieving sustainable agricultural development in the Gaza Strip from the viewpoint of workers in the Ministry of Agriculture, the dimensions affecting sustainable agricultural development were represented by (response, accountability, participation, and oversight) , and the principle of oversight ranked highest in terms of impact by 52%, followed by the principle of accountability by 29.6%, and finally the principle of response by 29.1%, while it was not each of (transparency and disclosure, justice and equity, participation) has a moral effect in achieving sustainable agricultural development in the Gaza Strip. The study recommended that the Ministry of Agriculture in the Gaza Strip should adopt the genuine launching to apply the government's rules in all its aspects and pillars, regardless of the state of political division in the Palestinian arena, in view of these procedures as part of the professionalism that contributes to strengthening the position of the Ministry in agricultural work in the Gaza Strip, provided that the real application is at the top of those procedures in terms of the content of the rules of transparency and disclosure of all issues related to marginalized groups and their real involvement in planning processes for their needs as the most important link Stakeholders associated with the work of the ministry.
