| dc.description.abstract | The aims of this study is to analyze and study the different political and economic factors that made the Israeli military industries and their technological institutions a pillar of the economic development in Israel, specifically institutions that work in the high-tech field. Also, the study analyses the role of the Israeli military industries in surpassing the local market and penetrating other markets that were hostile (India as an example) through developing the high-tech field. Moreover, it aims at studying the application of two recent theories in management and economy: the Blue Ocean Strategy for Strategic Management, and the Start-up Nation Theory, in explaining the role of the Israeli military industries in fostering such development, including the effect on Israeli infrastructure and the civil domain. Accordingly, the researcher employed the case study approach through conducting an analytical research on the relation between the Israeli military industries and the economic development in Israel on the one hand and the Blue Ocean Strategy and the Start-up Nation Theory on the other. The analysis is done through global analysis of comparing previous studies usingdata on Economic Development from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, the Israeli Military Scale ( according to the Israeli National Security Research Center ), data available at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, and the strategic databases of the Jane’s and Defense News magazines among other sources. Findings: 1. The success of Israeli military industries in bridging between the stages of Walt Rostow theory and the Start-up Nation Economic Theory to achieve economic growth, which is manifested in the structural changes in Israel’s infrastructure and civil domain. 2. Israeli military industries and the different industries related to it, specifically in the high-tech sector are essential to Israel’s economic development. Its role is due to a planned process and its services that contribute in diversifying the resources of GDP. However, there is no fair distribution of wealth and the sources of income in Israel, where the Israeli bourgeoisie monopolizes the local incomeat the expense of the lower classes. ز 3. Israeli military industries helped in redefining market boarders and finding a blue ocean through meeting the requirements of creating blue markets and overcoming the obstacles to meet that end. Recommendations: 1. Conducting urther research in this field of study and to expand it to all other aspects of the Israeli economy. 2. Try to benefit from this experience, on the Palestinian front, academically and politically to amplify the culture of the blue marketamong the Palestinian production sector and its key players. 3. The Palestinian model should focus on the production sectors as a pillar to development and growth achieved through allocating big financial resources to investments, as a renewable source of national income. 4. To achieve the above, a comparative study between the elements of the Palestinian economy and the Nation Start up Economic Theory should be conducted. 5. Focusing on national productive sectors as a supporting factor to open up wider job creation and external trade with high profit. This should be achieved through a strategic plan to be conducted and implemented by all relevant institutions from both the public sector and civil society | |
