Abstract
This study aimed to identify the reality of training on field risk management in journalistic work, which faces journalists working in the occupied West Bank, which the researcher took as spatial boundaries for his study. The study also aimed to identify the reality of training, its methods and methods of measuring it, in addition to field risks and methods of measuring them, and to approach journalistic work in the field, especially since the time limits in which the study was conducted, which is the summer of 2024, are of great importance with the escalation of the situation and the continued presence of a raging war over... The Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The researcher followed the descriptive survey method to achieve the objectives of the study, and used the questionnaire newspaper that was distributed to 233 journalists working in the field. The most important findings of this study, the results showed that many workers in the field need constant follow-up to obtain training on risk management in the field, and that approximately 57% of them did not receive training for that, and its showed that journalists are dissatisfied with media institutions’ follow-up of incidents that occur with their colleagues, The results of the study showed that there is a tendency among journalists who hold a diploma or less to work in the field, and that there are differences between what the journalist working in the field believes he gets from training courses, and what is provided and applied by the institutions for which he works. The study came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: the necessity of subjecting journalists working in the field to training on risk management on a regular basis, noting the importance of updating these risks from time to time, so that the trainer can be well aware of the impact of risks in field work, and also the necessity of preparing training materials that simulate an environment. Field work and its risks.
