Abstract
This study aimed to identify the applicability of the dimensions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, namely artificial intelligence, machine learning, nanotechnology, virtual reality, and 3D printing and its impact on the Palestinian industrial sector in the northern governorates of Palestine. Also, it aims to identify the dimensions of the Palestinian industrial sector (the product quality, the production cost, time of manufacture and labor), as well as the sector's through examining the following main hypotheses: 1. There is no correlation between the feasibility of the 4IR's dimensions and Palestine's northern governorate industrial sector. 2. The medium variant of the study participantshas no bearing on the industrial centres in the northern governorates of Palestine which are affected by the 4IR. The researcher adopts the descriptive analytic methodology to conduct the study. This paper is based on previous literature as well as the official website of the Palestinian Federation of Industries. The study population consisted of (215) northern governorate factory managers who were selected following the stratified random sampling by employing a formula depending on the field of industry involved. An online questionnaire was implemented as a data collection instrument. The study shows the positive correlation between adopting the 4IR technology and Palestine's northern governorate industry's centers. Where production costs are the most affected by the dimensions of the 4IR while the product quality is the least affected. Furthermore, the study shows statistically significant differences among the study participants regarding the effects of the 4IR dimensions on the northern governorates' industrial centers, especially when it comes to the factory's specialization. Last but not least, the study indicates that food manufacturing plants are the most affected by the implementation of the 4IR technology at the expense of marble and stone manufacturing plants. ordinally, the researcher recommends a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: starting to form a technical infrastructure and developing databases capable of absorbing the dimensions of the fourth industrial revolution in the Palestinian industrial sector and in other Palestinian sectors. As well as, introducing programs, workshops and seminars for factory managers and owners to educate them and increase their culture about the importance of applying the dimensions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Palestinian industries
