Abstract
This study aimed to measure the impact of Tik Tok application on Palestinian adolescents, and Al-Aroub camp students were chosen as a model. The study community consisted of a hundred students from the ninth grade students in the male and female schools of Al-Arroub camp. The sample was distributed as 50 males and 50 females. For the nature of the study . To achieve the objectives of the study, the study used two tools. The first tool was the pre and post questionnaire, which consisted of three scales (the use scale, the impact scale, and the family follow-up scale) by returning to previous studies and the researcher’s readings on the subject, while the second tool was the observation tool by the researcher.50 The results of the tribal group showed a percentage of (2.67) while the results of the post group were (3.00), which shows that there is an apparent difference according to the group variable. This indicates that the impact of the Tik Tok application after watching the short videos posted on the application significantly affected the students. This was confirmed by the researcher's observations, as the students, after watching the clips for more than a day, started imitating the avatars and circulating them among each other and publishing these clips on their personal pages . The results also showed that the degree of family follow-up of its adolescent children through the application of Tik Tok is higher in the post test, where the arithmetic mean was (2.30), and in the pre-test it was (2.18 .) The researcher recommends the necessity of holding seminars and a course for teenagers to educate them about the most important risks and disadvantages of the application, and to conduct more research on Tik Tok and its relationship to its impact on adolescents in all Palestinian cities, villages and camps.
