| dc.description.abstract | The study aimed to identify the reality of the partnership between the government’s health sector and the non-governmental health institutions and its impact on the sustainability of health services in the Gaza Strip. The study was based on the analytical descriptive approach, and the survey population consisted of (194) managers working in the Ministry of Health and managers of health NGOs in the Gaza Strip. A complete census was carried out addressing the entire study population, and a questionnaire was used as a study tool. It was drafted and submitted to the reviewers who confirmed its validity and reliability. (180) questionnaires were retrieved with a recovery rate of (92.73%). The SPSS statistical analysis program was used for data analysis. The study reached a number of results; the most notable of which: the presence of strategic planning between the government’s health sector and health NGOs in the Gaza Strip at a relative weight of (72.80%). Moreover, there appeared to be a considerable degree of consensus among the members of the population about the reality of control between the government’s health sector and health NGOs in the Gaza Strip at a relative weight of (70.80%). In addition, the current legal enactments allow for the supervision and regulation of partnership contracts between the Ministry of Health and health NGOs. There is also a marked decline in funding health services by financiers and official bodies, and weakness in providing more reliable funding sources due to the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip. The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences at (0.05≥α) between the mean scores of the sample regarding the reality of the partnership between the government’s health sector and health NGOs and the sustainability of health services in the Gaza Strip considering the variables of age, gender, years of experience, workplace, Job title, educational qualifications. The most important recommendations the study came to are asking the related authorities to exert more efforts on setting alternative and sustainable policies and funds for the health sector, and activating the role of legal entities in setting cooperation protocols or a partnership manual that guarantees the rights of all parties and clarifies their roles and responsibilities. | en |
