| dc.description.abstract | The study aimed to identifying the role that small enterprises play in different sectors which include the economic role, the social role, and the psychological and emotional role in improving the quality of the social life of women with disabilities in the Gaza Strip. The study used the descriptive and analytical method, as it relied on questionnaires to collect data from its primary sources. The study population represented the owners of small projects who benefited from economic empowerment programs for women with disabilities in the Gaza Strip, as their number reached 150 beneficiaries of the programs. The researcher used the complete census method. The researcher distributed 150 questionnaires to the beneficiaries, wherein 99 questionnaires were retrieved which were used for the purposes of analysis. The study concluded with a set of results, the most important of which is the existence of a high positive evaluation of the role that small enterprises play in enhancing the quality of social life for women with disabilities in the Gaza Strip, as this role is represented in a group of dimensions that include the economic role, the social role, and the psychological and emotional role. Where the relative weight of the economic role played by small enterprises from the point of view of beneficiaries reached 75.4%, while the relative weight of the social role reached 78.4%. Concerning the relative weight of the psychological and emotional role that these projects play, it reached 84.8%, and the results also indicated a high level of social quality of life for women with disabilities in the Gaza Strip. Whereas the relative weight of this level reached 77.8%, and the results indicated Also, there is a positive and statistically significant impact of the economic and social role in improving the quality of social life for women with disabilities in the Gaza Strip, while the psychological and emotional role did not have a significant effect on the quality of the social life of the target group. The study recommended the necessity to work to facilitate the ways of funds to women with disabilities to enable them to establish their own small enterprises with a guarantee from a dedicated fund established by the Palestinian National Authority for this purpose in order to contribute to empowering this vulnerable group. It also recommended that civil society organizations should adopt the idea of establishing specialized business incubators for women with disabilities, so that they provide their empowerment services to this group according to the type of disability. | |
