Abstract
Praised be Allah، lord of all worlds; and Peace and Prayer be upon the best of the prophets and messengers، our Prophet Muhammad، and upon his family and all of his companions. In our current time، there are increasing calls for reform and movements for change which inspire young generations، change their convictions، cultivate their minds and sentiments، and modify their behaviors. However، these often lack the element of enthusiasm that drives young generations to conform and subscribe to these movements. Therefore، this paper aims to provide that element of enthusiasm in order to conjure the winds of change on the basis of the principles of Sunnah، so as to bring up individuals in the guidance of Islam، as well as to shed the light on the Islamic educational framework which presents humanity with all of the fundamentals of security and stability. This study demonstrates the efficiency of the Islamic educational framework، its concern with bringingup the generation in a righteous manner away from all the causes of corruption and deviation، and its aim to protect the society from all societal maladies which weaken its bonds of solidarity and strength. It is narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said، “Seven are (the persons) whom Allah will give protection with His Shade…” This hadith illustrates several matters and issues which are gravely important for the salvation of Muslims in the day of Judgment، when the horrors of that day descend upon mankind، when the sun is a mile’s length away from people، when people are bound and drenched in sweat in proportion with their sins، and when there is no shade to protect them except the Shade of Allah (SWT). The Prophet (PBUH) has outlined the types of deeds that salvage Muslims and protect them from this strenuous، awe-inspiring situation. This study will contemplate the Islamic educational lessons، in order to benefit from the fruit of their moral، intellectual، and behavioral philosophy. It will also examine what critical changes these lessons make in people’s lives، dealings، and morality. It is through these sublime morals and prophetic guidance that we achieve a virtuous existencecharacterized with stability، tranquility، and societal growth. This surely affects 2 the coming generations، as it institutes an educational framework governed by high morals and righteous values which it seeks to instill in the hearts of Muslims. This paper will also contemplate the educational lessons in the aforementioned Hadith، which include many messages and methods encouraged by the Prophet to strengthen the believers’ bondswith their maker. These lessons firmly and strictly condemn selfishness، egoism، materialism، and racism in the hearts of believers، whereas they encourage spreading felicity and well-being. Furthermore،they outline several methods to create and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood،love، and social solidarity، in order to create an ideal، moral Islamic society. All of these matters help to cultivate young minds and to direct the coming generations to build a strong relationship with their maker and with others. This was made clear in the Hadith “Seven are (the persons) whom Allah will give protection with His Shade…” for a believer is one whoweeps in fear of Allah and in hope for his pleasure; this is the core of a Muslim’s relationship with his God;as for a Muslim’s dealings with others، the Hadith demonstrates many types of relationships، such as: Ruling with Justice، Love for the sake of Allah، Chastity، and Charity; all of these fundamentally contribute to building a righteous society. This study will focus on several of these types of behaviors and dealings، such as:  The importance of Justice: Justice has an immense influence on the lives and happiness of individuals and society. How exquisite it is to find the virtue of Justice in rulers and in people who hold a position of responsibility! For it will have a great educational and psychological effect on the individual and society. Justice is a virtue that could be attributed to any Muslim ruler or any person holding a position of responsibility. A Just ruler، therefore، is any ruler who subscribes to the Shari’ah and to the rule of Allah (SWT)، and this includes any position of responsibility in any degree. Repentance: How wonderful it is to see Muslim youth repent when they are at the height of their desires! Allah (SWT) takes pride in the penitent young men and women who have given away their youth for Allah and have not put off theirrepentance until their old age. Love for the sake of Allah: This is the sort of love that is not influenced by any material benefit or relation، but merely by the degree of one’s obedience to Allah and one’s love towards His servants. Weeping in fear of Allah. Each of these seven types of people is in the pinnacle of piety، virtue، and righteousness، as the Hadith mentions، and they are placed among the highest of the virtuous and the godly. No wonder، then، that Allah has bestowed His grace upon them and has promised to protect them! For whoever Allah protects cannot be harmed by all the horrors and malignity of the world. Oh Allah، grant us Your forgiveness and mercy، and protect us in Your Shade when there is no other shade to protect us.
