Abstract
This study focused on the Arab political inatialves concerning the Arab
Israel since 1973-2002.
After that war of Ramadan 1973, different projects concerning setting the
Arab Israel: conflict were presented especially the international security
resolution 338 that confirmed the former resolution 242 after that the
Arab world witnessed fas summit in which PLD has been recognized as
the only representative of the Palestinian people. And finally in 2002 the
Arab summit conference was held in Beirut, and the Arab states have
accepted the initiative of the Saudi prince Abdullah Bin Abedalaziz Al
Saud to be as later known the Arab imitative for settling the Palestinian
issue.
The study reveals the recent increasing debate about the Arab initiatives
that has been affirmed in the arab summit conference in berut in 2002,
and the reasonable potential for this initiative to ply a crucial role in
finding a reconciliation for the Arab – Israeli conflict especially after the
failure of all efforts to put an end to this conflict.
To resaech used the historical approach in which in all Arab initiatives
will be studied since 1973, and the international community standings
behind these initiatives through analyzing a related historical documents.
The study uses the comparative method as well in discussing these
initiatives.
The study is composed of four sections. The first part focused on the
background and its importance. The second is about the Palestinian Israel
conflict and the international interference the third part is about the must
important Arab initiatives concerning the Palestinian issue since 1973 to
2002. while the last section is about the last initiative that has been
presented by the Saudi prince abd ullah in 2002.
The conclusion of the study implies that all Arab peace initiatives were
almost similar, and the only difference were in the individuals or the
persons who present such an initiatives the weakness of these initiatives
was the lack of insestance and pursuance form the Arab states on one
hard and the Israeli rejection one the other hard.
From the other side, the American attitudes that support the Israelis
position twords the Arab peace initiatives, have put on obslicles in the
way of success for these initiatives, have put on obslicles in the way of
success for these initatives, American and most of time the American
interference contributed to weaken these initiative. Israel and United
States strove to impose new facts before only peace talks between Israel
and the Palestinian people and the last example was the promise of bush
that cancels the right of Palestinian refugees of returning back home art
and leanes the major settlements in the west band regardless to the results
of the negotiations.
The study recommends the Palestinian leadership to hang on to the
Palestinian national rights and to insisking on the Arab ileac inactive and
never give up any of its items not negotiations an any basis that
contradict what the Arab peace initiative implies, and never accept any
temporary reconcitaion projects that postpone the Loa sic conflict issues.
